Guitarist, 32. Been playing about 20 years (off and on). I play 6-string, 7-string electric, and acoustic-electric. Currently playing with School of Rock but looking to push beyond that and work on something heavier and more musically interesting. Main focus right now is old school brutal death metal in the vein of Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Obituary, and Dying Fetus — heavy groove, dark riffs, and real intensity. Outside of metal I’m also deeply into Americana, outlaw country, and roots rock like The Band, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Johnny Winter, Stephen Stills, and Grateful Dead. Also into groove-heavy jazz and fusion like John Scofield, plus Latin and Afro-Cuban jazz. Looking to connect with musicians who care about groove, feel, and pushing into heavier musical territory with a more analog mindset, not really into amp modeling set ups on computers.
