I have been playing the kit for over 20 years. I never went to school other than orchestra and marching band in high school, but have played many Tuesday Night Funk Jams at Asheville Music Hall and Weird Wednesday Jams at The Sly Grog which is where I keep my chops up. I would say I am great at hopping in with someone or a group of people I have never met, finding a good groove, staying in the pocket, and creating a sense of dynamics that allows all other musicians to expand and thrive. Most importantly, I can keep time! I like playing all types of rock, funk, blues, and even experimental music.
